Cuddle Bears for Comfort

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. I've read several articles and seen many pictures of children fighting cancer and I have been pondering how I can help. I contacted Children's Medical Center to find out the facts about children suffering from cancer in the Dayton area. My heart is so saddened by these facts...
Nearly 600 children are currently treated for cancer,
123 inpatients were there last year,
and about 60 new cases are diagnosed each year!

We can show our support and bring courage & comfort to these children.
What if we could ensure that every inpatient this year received a soft cuddle bear to comfort them when they arrived?
Together we can!

It may seem like a small thing, but to give a special Cuddle Bear friend to a child who is scared is a wonderful thing that we can do to help. Plus, a portion of  the Cuddle Bear sale goes to the Scott Carter Foundation to fund research.
By buying a Cuddle Bear we can both fund research for treatments that will cure AND bring comfort to those children who need them.

Dayton Children's Medical Center suggested that we set our initial goal at 60 Cuddle Bears
I'm buying the first one... One down, 59 to go! Here we go, let's do it!
